Parker BSP-MT 1-8 industrial and medical breathing air systems combine a heatless adsorption dryer with integral purification and catalytic stages, designed to treat compressed air reliably and efficiently to meet the medical breathing air requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia and other international breathing air standards. Equipped with integrated high efficiency OIL-X pre- and after filtration they are sized for flow rates of up to 139 m³/h @ 13 barg.
BSP-MT 1-8 breathing air systems operate a fixed, timed changeover cycle between the dryer's two specially filled twin-vessels. Continuous, uninterrupted operation is maintained utilising pressure swing adsorption technology together with individually operated main and exhaust valves.
Where the application requires additional monitoring, the installation of a dew point sensor is available as an option. The chosen pressure dew point setting allows the changeover time of the individual vessels to be adjusted to meet operating requirements whilst providing reliable monitoring of the dryer’s performance.
Sizing and Selection
To ensure quoted air purity performance is met, a breathing air system must be sized correctly for minimum operating pressure, maximum inlet temperature and maximum inlet flow rate using the correction factors found in the Product Information Sheet.
Parker BAS Breathing Air Systems have been designed to treat 15 hazardous compressed air contaminants and provide breathable quality compressed air that meets or exceeds the levels shown in global breathing air standards.
Providing breathable quality compressed air from a single treatment system, BAS Breathing Air Systems consist of 7 stages of purification.
Delivered air purity from a BAS meets or exceeds the requirements of EN12021, European Pharmacopoeia, OSHA Grade D and CSA Z180.1. The air quality is equivalent to ISO8573-1:2010 Class 1.2.0 (<0.003 mg/m³ total oil).
The BAS Breathing Air System's performance has been tested in accordance with ISO7183, ISO12500-1, ISO 8573-2 / ISO 8573-3 / ISO 8573-4 / ISO 8573-5 / ISO 8573-6 and the European Pharmacopoeia. performance has been independently verified by Lloyds Register.
